Every once in a while, there is a video posted online that causes quite a stir among viewers --- for any number of reasons.
Seems that one dance video gaining a lot of interest right now is the one from Trinity United Church of Christ's married couples ministry, showing a handful of couples dancing to Babyface's "Everytime I Close My Eyes."
What do you think about the TUCC marriage dance video and/or other couples dancing in church?

The first time I saw the video, I saw it posted to AverageBro's website (http://www.averagebro.com/) . . . He seemed to be wondering aloud, tongue-in-cheek, I believe -- if this was the 'revolution' that Rev. Jeremiah A. Wright had been teaching at the church. (For the record, President Obama's former pastor, the Rev. Jeremiah A. Wright, is now retired pastor emeritus at the church; its new leader is the Rev. Otis Moss III.)
While I'm sure some people are affronted at the notion of married couples dancing in church --- many of these same people might be offended at dancing in church, period --- I'm sure some of the attention comes from the fact that this is the church of the pastor who married our current U.S. President, Barack Obama.
But I don't know: initially, I wanted to like the video and the ministry dancing in church, but also wondered about the 'order and decorum' of the church. Are there certain places in church, like the altar or altar area, which should only be approached and/or used by the church's pastor and ministers? (I know, even as I write this, this sounds so Old Testament . . . 'tie a bell around their waists so when they drop dead, we can pull them off the altar!)
And me, a praise-dancer! Is that hypocritical?
And it's probably not the first time couples have danced in church --- and I can almost guarantee you it won't be the last time. Check out this marriage dance ministry from First Baptist Church of High Park in Landover, Maryland, posted to YouTube in February 2009.
